Supposed evidence of a video claiming that T-ara’s Jiyeon participated in obscene chatting during her pre-debut days has been rapidly spreading around the internet.
On October 6th, various community sites uploaded a 35-minute video clip of a female student stripping and participating in obscene chatting. Netizens began claiming that the girl in question was T-ara’s
Jiyeon, and rumors were spread on Twitter and other sites.
However, T-ara’s agency, Core Contents Media, has clarified the rumors by stating, “The female in the video is not Jiyeon.” A representative spoke through the phone and stated, “Our company has watched and analyzed the video, and even asked Jiyeon whether it was her or not. We came to the conclusion that it is just a female that happens to look like Jiyeon.”
The representative also expressed his disappointment with the rumors and revealed, “We will be further discussing the video through a meeting and consider legal action.”
The agency has decided that the situation has become too severe, and is planning to release clarification information to the press soon.
